NATIONAL UNITY PLATFORM(NUP) MARRIED TO FORUM FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE (FDC)

National unity platform is the leading opposition political party in Uganda with Kyagulanyi Robert aka Bobi wine as the party president. The party has 57members of Parliament while Forum for Democratic change is led by Patrick Oboi Amuriat as the party president with 32 members of Parliament.

In a secret meeting that was held at Hotel African Kampala on 1st August 2022, the two parties vehemently agreed to support FDC because NUP party president had lost truck in leadership

NUP president has become irrelevant in the face of Ugandans hence influencing the decision to form an alliance with FDC party as they target 2026 general elections to front one candidate who will be Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye.

According to Hon. Mathias Mpuuga, the member of Parliament for Masaka- Mukungwe division in Masaka city and also the Leader Of Opposition in Parliament said that indeed NUP members of Parliament were divided over their President who has turned into a businessman than a politician

Mpuuga agreed to mobilize all members of Parliament to support Col. Dr Kiiza Besigye for proper leadership in opposition.

They further accused party president Kyagulanyi of working with the State especially when the state gave him tax waver for his bullet proof car last 2021 which Uganda Revenue Authority had impounded for tax clearance with so many allegations.

When Lewis Rubongoya the National Unity Platform secretary general asked about this development, he said NUP party and FDC have made an alliance and are now one party ready to work behind FDC from today until they capture State House.

The Lord Mayor for Kampala City Hon. Elias Lukwago who doubles as the Vice President for Central Uganda in FDC welcomed the move and related NUP to the lost sheep without a Shepard that has now seen light.

Other political parties involved in the merging include JEEMA, PPP and a block of DP that separated from the Mao faction.

THE CURRENT STAGGERING STATE OF NUP IS SO WORRYING DUE TO CONTINUOUS FAILURE

The National Unity Platform party was built on social media falsehoods, blackmail and public threats in 2019 when the then Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine declared his interests in contesting for the highest office in Uganda against President Museveni. Social media was stormed with falsehoods against Government officials, institutions, service delivery and projects that have at several occasions been watered down by unpatriotic citizens with interests of leading the country. As a result, several bloggers both Ugandan based and the diaspora were hired to ensure the blackmail campaign is sold to the Ugandan community on media and continuous call for sanctions and interference in the politics of Uganda by the international community. The continuous call for sympathy from the international community based on falsehoods has not yielded any results due to their ability to establish a Uganda different from what the NUP Principal and propagandists have s...

WHY EAST AFRICA NEEDS THE EACOP.

There has been recent claims on a motion of resolution by the European Parliament that calls on Uganda and Tanzania to stop the development of oil and gas projects in the East African region.  However,  Uganda and East Africa need the Oil pipeline following public reactions towards the negative motives of the European Parliament. It brings back colonial times, much as their arguments have a grain of salt, I dont think the the implementers of EACOP did not conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). This was done and all aspects taken into consideration. And besides that, Africa at large is the least contributor to climate change. They (first world countries) are the biggest contributors-they are burning fossil fuels like coal which contribute heavily to climate change.  They have refused to stop their use, they should tackle that First, before they start extending their concerns to us. We need this pipeline as a region, we should just look at ensuring its...
