Excitement and showing off biting Senyonyi

It emerged that at  the recently concluded NUP retreat, that was characterized by accusations and counter accusations left Senyonyi the most wounded of all leaders who were attacked.

According to one Henry Kyemba, Senyonyi was attacked by his fellow party members for having eaten alone 1billion shillings which was allegedly given to him by UCCA officials.

In my observation Senyonyi appears to have dug his own grave because of Excitement and lack of experience.

One, he wanted to project himself to the world as the most hard working MP by blowing out of proportion COSASE investigation like the one of UCAA and others by raising unsubstantiated allegations he failed to sustain.

A highly reliable source from UCAA laughed off the bribery allegation as wild and unfounded wondering how and from where anyone in an accountable government institution like UCCA would get a billion shillings to hand over to an individual for whatever reason. He said it is simply impossible.
He added that they could not bribe Senyonyi in the first place because UCAA gave COSASE a comprehensive explanation and facts regarding the airport rehabilitation's, constructions and other related issues.

With the above explanation is why I believe it was Senyonyi's wild allegations that rose unnecessary alarm that have boomeranged to bite him.

Secondly, in a bid to show off Senyonyi held a lavish baby shower party on a yacht on Lake Victoria which is believed to have costed huge amounts of millions of money.

He is also believed to be erecting a state of the art mansion at undisclosed location within Kampala City suburbs worth billions of shillings.

It is inconceivable that a person who used to be a humble TV presenter, earning a modest salary can exhibit this flamboyant life style.

It is, therefore, his lack of experience coupled with Excitement and showing off that are coming back to haunt him.

You all recall that president M7 has severally warned them that we shall know them by their fruits!

This is therefore why I can not conclude without cautioning my gullible young friends to always understand the type of people who lead them so as to forestall being dragged into acts that might adversely affect their future.

URA clarifies the KACITA planned protest cause.

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) said 125 containers are pending clearance for taxes, dismissing the figure the spokesperson of Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) told the Saturday Vision. "The Saturday Vision on 28/08/2021 reported that 700 containers of textile/garments are stuck at URA, quoting the Spokesperson of KACITA. A figure that is far from the truth," Ian Rumanyika, the Authority's acting commissioner of public and corporate affairs, said in a Sunday statement. "We are in possession of 125 containers and so far, 9 have been cleared due to the new tax regime as pronounced by the Honorable Minister of Finance Planning and Economic Development." For the current financial year, the government raised the import duty rate of garments from 25% to 35% or a charge of $3.5 for every kilogram and for textile fabrics, it was increased to 35% or $3 per kg. In an August 4 letter, Finance Minister Matia Kasaija advised that that textile fabrics and garments tha...
