Lumbuye has participated in blackmailing the President and other persons of interest alleging to have established a spy network around President Museveni and other individuals.

His allegations practically called for trouble after a couple of opposition propagandists including Lumbuye announced President Museveni to be dead. He further alleged that the First Family had converged to cover up the Presidency before they could officially announce the death of the President.

This added on the counts of false allegations created by Lumbuye against the President, the Kabaka of Buganda and the Katikiro, Charles Peter Mayiga who he has continuously accused of him working with President Museveni in a bid for the Vice Presidency post.
