TO GAWAYA TEGULLE: GAME OF THRONES HAS MULTIPLE STORY LINES

As an advocate, Professional Journalist and Public Policy Analyst, Gawaya Tegulle should be reasoning much more than his article published in Sunday Monitor of 08th. 05. 2022.
Is Tegulle becoming another learned fellow with no sense of reasoning or he’s still being haunted by his failed political career or maybe he still holds a grudge   for being dismissed from UBC TV in 2007.
Oh, Uganda my motherland where the kind of Tegulle’s would be role models to the youth are turning out to be opportunists and irrelevant.
Has Tegulle ever wondered why his beloved party on which he stood in 2016 has declined or what happened to his beloved Rtd Col Kiiza Besigye who was the last nail in his dismissal from UBC.
Tegulle should know that being a president is a process but it’s also good to dream because it’s in our human nature.
We should not have prejudice because others were born in Luxury. Being born in a rich family doesn’t mean that someone can’t lead others or better still lead the country.
A good Leader should have a strong vision for the country’s future, the courage to make unpopular decisions, character and integrity.
Put on a weighing scale, can Tegulle really convince Ugandans that the one orphaned early has the abilities of leading a country and how about the one who represented and defended his country on the frontline.
People born in Luxury also have dreams and aspirations and we have seen Uhuru Kenyatta moving in the footsteps of his father Jomo Kenyatta to be President of Kenya.
Ali Bongo Ondimba in Gabon, Nana Okufo-Addo in Ghana, John Adams in USA and George W. Bush in USA.
Gawaya Tegulle by now should know that being a President or a Leader, there are multiple story lines of an individual that can influence the voters, and in this case, background might not have huge influence. People are wise to vote leaders of substance capable of taking the nation to the next level.
Ugandans are smart not to be hoodwinked by some people using the sympathy card when they are also living large.
I believe dreams are personal and we can’t stop anyone from dreaming. Walt Disney says, “If you can dream it, you can do it.”

WHY EAST AFRICA NEEDS THE EACOP.

There has been recent claims on a motion of resolution by the European Parliament that calls on Uganda and Tanzania to stop the development of oil and gas projects in the East African region.  However,  Uganda and East Africa need the Oil pipeline following public reactions towards the negative motives of the European Parliament. It brings back colonial times, much as their arguments have a grain of salt, I dont think the the implementers of EACOP did not conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). This was done and all aspects taken into consideration. And besides that, Africa at large is the least contributor to climate change. They (first world countries) are the biggest contributors-they are burning fossil fuels like coal which contribute heavily to climate change.  They have refused to stop their use, they should tackle that First, before they start extending their concerns to us. We need this pipeline as a region, we should just look at ensuring its...

AN ENEMY WITHIN. The Secret Position of David Lewis Rubongoya in NUP and why he is there".

There is a saying that says; "What will swallow you is usually part of the nice garment you often want to put on. Everyone since the inception of NUP has always wondered why the NUP delegation Conference chose David Lewis Rubongoya as the Secretary General of the Party. Let's pause A bit, what if this was a state intended choice to ease its spy activities in the NUP party?? It's wise to know and intently perceive that a Secretary General in any political party has almost more powers than anyone else.  Family background According to our trusted sources, Lewis Rubongoya is a Mubiito Munyoro whose parents shifted from Bunyoro to Mbarara District. His father was an ordinary veterinary doctor and the mother was an unlicensed teacher who stopped teaching at a young age.  David Lewis is the fourth out of five children from the mother's side and the ninth on the father's side because the father had four other children from a different mother. The Father later o...

URA clarifies the KACITA planned protest cause.

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) said 125 containers are pending clearance for taxes, dismissing the figure the spokesperson of Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) told the Saturday Vision. "The Saturday Vision on 28/08/2021 reported that 700 containers of textile/garments are stuck at URA, quoting the Spokesperson of KACITA. A figure that is far from the truth," Ian Rumanyika, the Authority's acting commissioner of public and corporate affairs, said in a Sunday statement. "We are in possession of 125 containers and so far, 9 have been cleared due to the new tax regime as pronounced by the Honorable Minister of Finance Planning and Economic Development." For the current financial year, the government raised the import duty rate of garments from 25% to 35% or a charge of $3.5 for every kilogram and for textile fabrics, it was increased to 35% or $3 per kg. In an August 4 letter, Finance Minister Matia Kasaija advised that that textile fabrics and garments tha...
